What we know thus far:
- Exams are still a GO!
- Exams will be taken at your home with laptop, smartphone, tablet, etc.
- Exams are open book and open note
- AP Psychology will take place on Tuesday, May 19th at 2 PM EST. The late exam will take place on Thursday, June 4th at 4 PM EST.
- Exams will consist of two FRQ questions (one that is 25 minutes in length that accounts for 55% of your exam grade and covers an assortment of topics & one that is 15 minutes in length and accounts for 45% of your exam grade and covers research methodologies)
- Content has been adjusted to not include topics typically taught after early March (Psychology = Units 8 & 9). Topics that are covered include: Prologue over History and Approaches, Ch 1 over Research Methods and Statistics, Ch 2 over Biological Bases of Behavior, Ch 3 over States of Consciousness, Ch 5 over Developmental Psychology, Ch 6 over Sensation and Perception, Ch 7 over Learning, Ch 8 and CH 9 over Cognition, Ch 10 over Testing and Individual Difference, Ch 11 and Ch 12 over Motivation and Emotion, and Ch 13 over Personality.
- Full Refunds are available for students that do not wish to pursue the AP Exam. This decision must be made by mid-April.
- Colleges/Universities support this format for Advanced Placement exams this year.
- DAILY online (Live and On Demand) support and instructional aides via AP Classroom will begin on March 25th.
- More information on accessing test questions and demos that show how to upload your responses will be dropped in late April according to College Board.
- All testing accommodations should be able to be honored for the exam.
- Exam security measures will be put into place to guarantee authenticity of responses and all student work will be sent to their teacher within 48 hours of their exam.
- Practice MC and FRQ questions are available via AP Classroom
